Water, sink, faucet

TUSCOLA, Ill. (WAND) — Tuscola residents can resume normal water usage after a weekend boil order was lifted Monday morning.

WAND News learned the order was lifted at 7:30 a.m.

A boil order was issued for the city after a large water leak in Champaign County was reported Friday.

Illinois American Water Company said there was a leak in a line that supplies the City of Tuscola.

The leak was fixed as of Saturday morning, but City of Tuscola water customers were still under a boil order until "further notice."

A boil order was also issued for customers on the Arcola/Tuscola Joint Waterline Agency line north of Tuscola on Route 45 and Champaign County Road 900E. That boil order was lifted on Sunday morning.
