GREENUP, Ill. (WAND) - The Village of Greenup is under a boil order until further notice following a significant water leak Wednesday afternoon, per Tom Wright of the Water Committee for Greenup.
Wright also told WAND News that the water main leak has been fixed.
Water services in the Village of Greenup were initially shut off to all customers due to a "major" water leak, according to the Cumberland County Health Department.
Greenup is about 20 miles south of Charleston with an estimated population of around 1,800 people.
