Springfield, IL- The beach at Lake Springfield will not open this season.

City Water Light and Power owns the lake. They say they have not included expenses for the beach in this year's budget, because of down revenue.

People will still be able to rent the beach house out for events.  CWLP has closed the beach before because of operating costs.
