DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Macon County is under a temporary burn ban due to the overly dry conditions. 

The Macon County Emergency Management Agency said in a press release Monday that the countywide ban was put in place effective immediately. 

Residents are told to refrain from all open burning, which includes both "residential and agricultural" burning.
