Man charged with deadly Decatur shooting enters plea

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - A Decatur man has entered a partial plea agreement for his role in a shooting. 

According to court records, on Oct. 18 Anthony Webster entered a partial plea for his role in a February 2023 shooting. 

Webster pleaded guilty to Second Degree Murder, Class 1 felony, and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Class 3 felony. All other counts were dismissed. 

Police arrested Webster for his role in a shooting that left a man dead and injured a 70-year-old woman. 

The shooting happened near the 900 block of W. Main Street in Feb. 2023. He originally pleaded not guilty to the charges. 

He is scheduled for sentencing in November.
