OREGON, Ill. (WAND) - A man who died in a plane crash in northern Illinois Tuesday has been identified.
The Ogle County Coroner identified the man as 23-year-old Alexander Leamon of Lena, IL.
The crash occurred outside of the Ogle County Airport along Illinois Route 64 around 9:30 a.m. July 22.
During the crash, the plane struck multiple transmission lines belonging to ComEd, which impacted electrical service in the surrounding area.
The Ogle County Sheriff's Office said the plane will remain at the crash site until a federal investigation is complete.
