DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - A new shelter for women and children is opening in Decatur.
God's Shelter of Love will open the new shelter, Careage House, at 234 S. College St. in Decatur. Â
35 campers and faculty from Little Galilee Christian Camp are doing service projects at the shelter Wednesday to help them get ready for the opening.
An Open House will be held on Sunday, July 29 from 1 to 4 p.m.
The Careage House will provide overnight emergency shelter for up to 16 women and children.
On Wednesday, July 25th between 11 am - 4 pm, we will have about 35 campers and faculty from Little Galilee Christian Camp who will be doing several service projects to get us ready for our Open House on Sunday, July 29th from 1-4 pm. Refreshments will be served. Â
