OSF Healthcare showcases new Medical Group Office in Forsyth

FORSYTH, Ill. (WAND) – Women in the Decatur-Forsyth, Champaign-Urbana and Lincoln areas now have increased access to obstetrics care through a new collaboration on select services between OSF HealthCare and Advanced Women’s Healthcare in Bloomington.

A team of obstetrician/gynecologists and certified nurse midwives from Advanced Women’s Healthcare will start seeing patients for well-woman, prenatal and postpartum care at the medical office building in Forsyth.

Dele Ogunleye, MD, obstetrician and gynecologist, along with three other certified nurse midwives Lindsay Bustle, CNM, Cathy Hinton, CNM, Laura Muehling, CNM, Lilly Ott, CNM, Sarah Shoemaker, CNM, and Annelise Smith, CNM.

Clinics with Advanced Women’s Healthcare providers and OSF Mission Partners are also serving patients in Forsyth, and soon in Lincoln (602 Woodlawn Road), with an expected opening in April.

“We continue to see a shortage of obstetricians and gynecologists across the nation,” said Dr. Ogunleye. “This model of midwife care is an answer, allowing for a superior patient experience with more time for each woman. We are pleased to collaborate with OSF to expand this service.”

Services at OSF Medical Group – Obstetrics & Gynecology will include typical care offerings at OSF HealthCare locations, such as well-woman visits, prenatal and postpartum care, pelvic floor disorder treatments and general gynecologic care.
