(WAND) - Ozzy Osbourne has died at 76.
The Black Sabbath singer and heavy metal star's family said in a statement to NBC News: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”
Osbourne's death comes just weeks after he reunited with his original Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi, Bill Ward, and Geezer Butler for a final show in July 2025.
Osbourne's wife, TV personality Sharon Osbourne, shared in February that Ozzy's Parkinson's disease had left him unable to walk.
Osbourne was known as the "Prince of Darkness.
He had dealt with health issues for a long time including spinal surgeries.
