Plane wings make contact in Chicago

CHICAGO (WAND) – The wingtips of two planes hit each other at O’Hare International Airport in Chicago.

NBC Chicago says the flights involved included United 645, which was getting ready to head toward Portland, Ore., and a plane parked at a gate. United Airlines says there were no injuries, as the parked flight had no people inside at the time.

United added that it is “assisting our customers” and plans to use a different plane for the scheduled Oregon flight.
