OREANA, Ill. (WAND) — A three-year-old boy died on Saturday after being found in a pool.
The Macon County Sheriff's Office told WAND News that the boy was found in a pool in Oreana Saturday. The person who called in to 911 said the boy wasn't breathing when he was discovered.Â
He was taken by ambulance to Decatur Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.
MCSO said the child had unlocked the sliding glass door to the back deck and fell into the pool.Â
The Sheriff's Office has completed their investigation, and no criminal charges will be filed.
