CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - An early morning shooting in Champaign is under investigation.Â
The Champaign Police Department was called to a hospital at 4:35 a.m. Friday for a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg. He is hospitalized in stable condition.Â
Police said the victim was walking along either Collen Drive or Staley Rd. when he heard a loud noise and realized he had been shot. He was taken to the hospital by a personal vehicle.
