(WAND) - It'll be a very windy Friday across Central Illinois.
Those warm winds today gusting to almost 45 mph will push highs well into the 60s.

A "Wind Advisory" covers a portion of central Illinois this morning through early afternoon.

Winds switch to the northwest later today into Saturday and it turns much colder.

After lows tonight in the 20s, highs Saturday will only climb to near 40° with Saturday night being the coldest of the next seven days. Lows will drop into the teens to around 20°.

It'll be a few degrees warmer Sunday in the low-to-mid-40s.

A light wintry mix is possible Sunday night into Monday before it ends as rain during the afternoon.

A stronger storm system brings heavy rain to the area Tuesday into Wednesday with some thunderstorms likely. Rainfall amounts will be around one to two inches.

As colder air arrives Wednesday, the rain could end as snow.
