The Cincinnati Bengals rested all of their starters and key backups, but 40-year-old quarterback Josh Johnson directed a scoring drive against the Chicago Bears' defensive starters to open the game before throwing back-to-back touchdown passes to rookie wide receiver Colbie Young and veteran tight end Tanner Hudson to end the first half. Johnson finished 15 of 23 for 156 yards and the two touchdowns. Chicago quarterback Caleb Williams made his preseason debut and played just the opening series. Williams went 2 of 5 for 28 yards on the possession, which ended with a field goal.
