Many people across the country recognize October 14 as Indigenous Peoples Day and Illinois has implemented several laws in recent years to honor Native Americans.

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — Nearly 100 people traveled from across the state to ask legislators to pass laws regarding issues in the community.
