The Chicago White Sox have acquired right-hander Jordan Hicks from the Boston Red Sox. The deal, announced Sunday, includes cash and pitching prospect David Sandlin, along with two players to be named later. Boston receives right-handed prospect Gage Ziehl and another player. The Red Sox had been looking for hitting options this offseason but ended up with a surplus of pitchers. Chicago's general manager, Chris Getz, said he would reinvest savings from trading center fielder Luis Robert Jr. to the Mets. Hicks is expected to bolster a bullpen that had the fewest saves in the majors last season.
