CHICAGO (WAND) — Chicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflus has been fired, according to sportswriter Ian Rapoport.
The dismissal comes on the heels of a botched timeout during a game against Detroit on Thanksgiving.

Eberflus has held the top coaching job with the Bears since 2022.
Thomas Brown will be taking over as interim coach for the rest of the season. Brown had previously been promoted to offensive coordinator after the bears fired Shane Waldron earlier this season.
