CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - Get ready for a top-10 showdown as No. 10 Illinois and No. 3 Michigan duke (not the Blue Devils) it out Friday night at the State Farm Center.Â
The Fighting Illini are coming off a 95-94 loss to UCLA on Saturday, their third overtime loss in the past five games. Illinois is seeking its program-record-tying third top-five win of the season, following wins over No. 4 Purdue and No. 5 Nebraska. The Wolverines are 26-2 on the season, including a 16-1 mark in the Big Ten, with the lone conference blemish coming against Wisconsin in January.
Illinois has a nine-game winning streak against Michigan, including four straight in Champaign, according to U of I Athletics.Â
