CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) --Â Illinois started the season with a dominate win at home against Western Illinois.
In their season opener Luke Altmyer went 17 of 21 for 217 yard and three touchdown passes.
Six different wide receivers were also targeted by Altmyer with Justin Bowick scoring two touchdowns.
The team said while it was good to get a win week one their are thinks to clean up and learn from heading into week 2.
But Luke said his connections with all the receivers are growing each day.
