CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - There is no time off for Illinois men's basketball following its run to the Final Four.
The transfer portal is open now through April 21.
Illinois will lose Kylan Boswell and Ben Humrichous to graduation, and is expected to lose freshman star Keaton Wagler to the NBA Draft.
David Mirkovic, Andrej Stojakovic, Tomislav Ivisic and Zvonimir Ivisic are all likely to be pursued by other schools in the portal.
Illinois has two top-60 ranked high school recruits that will join the team next season, but the Illini are still expected to supplement the roster through the portal, too.
Some names Illinois has been linked to early on are Wisconsin-transfer John Blackwell, whose father played at Illinois, Providence-transfer Stefan Vaaks, and VCU-transfer Terrence Hill Jr.
