MT. ZION, Ill. (WAND) — They are Mt. Zion's favorite brother-sister sports duo: JC and Denver Anderson.

The children of Jeff and Becky are known for their athletic gifts.

JC has received offers to play football from just about every Big Ten and SEC school someone could think of.

Denver, who is Mt. Zion's All-Time leading scorer, is already committed to playing Division I basketball at Southern Utah State.

And while they come from a family of athletes, their hero is actually younger them. Their sister Shoni, who battled leukemia. As JC says, "She kicked leukemia's butt."

"She's such a strong little girl and she's definitely someone we looked up to," said JC.

"The heartache that brings you seeing your little sister go through that" said Denver. "It's made us stronger, it's made us closer as a family and it's made us tougher all together."

That Anderson bond, stretches far beyond the playing surface. It is pretty common for brothers and sisters to be ultra-competitive.

But there's no sibling rivalry here.

"There's never going to be a jealous moment between us." said Denver. "It's just support and love between us.
