FORT COLLINS. Col. (WAND) - A former Lincoln basketball star is getting some attention at the collegiate level.

Lincoln native Kloe Froebe has been named the Mountain West Preseason Freshman of the Year.

Froebe is getting ready for her first season at Colorado State.

She led Lincoln High School to a state championship last season. 

She became the IHSA's fifth leading scorer and was named Illinois Ms. Basketball.
