BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WAND) -- Meridian softball's season came to an end Monday with a loss in the supersectional round.
But this season had some firsts and lasts; the Hawks earned the program's first-ever sectional championship, but it was also the last season for head coach Greg Streeval.
Streeval has been the coach at Meridian for 28 years and said when he first got there they weren't competing for championships, and now they have their name in the mix year after year.
And after Monday's game, he took a minute to reflect on what he's been able to accomplish in his time at Meridian.
