DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Friday! The storms have moved on, and it will be a much nicer Friday behind the rain. Wind damage was the big issue with storms the last two nights. Today will be a complete change with nothing but sunshine and comfortable conditions. The temperature won’t hit the 80s until 2 or 3 this afternoon. The last two days we were in the 80s by 10 am, so it will be a very different feel today.

Temperatures will drop into the low 60s overnight into Saturday morning. Saturday will be partly cloudy with temperatures warming up a bit faster. Scattered showers will move in on Saturday morning for areas south of I-72. This will increase the humidity around the area for the afternoon.

Scattered storm chances will move in Saturday evening. Expect storms to increase in coverage through the overnight hours with another round of strong to severe storms moving in overnight. An organized line of storms will move into the area around 10 pm, and this will be the best chance for severe weather. Strong winds will be the biggest threat, but some tornadoes are possible with this setup.

Rain chances will hang around through the first half of the day on Sunday. Temperatures will be much cooler behind the rain. Expect highs only to hit the 70s through next Tuesday. More rain is expected for the middle of next week.

Have a great weekend!
