DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Who's ready for some serious warmth? OK, it may not be record-breaking warmth since record high temperatures are more 80+ this time of year, but it won't be much lower than that.

The massive high pressure area over the Desert Southwest will push plenty of early season warmth our way. The big plume of clouds streaming into the Pacific Northwest will generally miss us to the north, unfortunately. So, even when a cold front arrives at the end of this weekend, the prospects of rain are quite small. Between now and then, it's a race to see who opens up outdoor seating for lunch! Be sure to call someone special and make a date outdoors for lunch or dinner. You can thank Mother Nature later.

By the way, Spring becomes official at 9:46 a.m. Friday.

Stay weather aware, and stay sweaty.
