DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Temperatures will continue to soar across Central Illinois over the next few days with increasing humidity.
Highs today will be around 90° with low-to-mid-90s expected for Wednesday and Thursday. Once you add in the high humidity, it'll feel like 95°-105˜ today and 100°-115° tomorrow and Thursday.
A "Heat Advisory" covers parts of the area through 7 p.m. today and an "Extreme Heat Watch" goes into effect Wednesday morning into Thursday night.
While we may see an isolated shower or storm later today and tomorrow afternoon, shower and storm chances increase Thursday night, Friday and into the weekend.Â
Heavy downpours are definitely possible later this week into the weekend with the high humidity in place.
