DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Friday! There are plenty of activities on tap across central Illinois this weekend, including the boat races at Lake Decatur! The forecast looks to stay dry but cloudy for the most part during the day on Saturday. Any rain or storms will be highly scattered across the area, especially during the daytime.Â
Some windy conditions throughout the day tomorrow could make the lake a little rougher for the boaters out on the water. Winds could gust up to 20 miles per hour from the west, and thus those waves could come a little faster and higher during the races. A hot and humid day is on tap Saturday, with highs in the mid-to-upper 80s and dew points in the 70s.Â
Showers and storms return to the forecast in the evening on Saturday, with scattered chances returning overnight into Sunday. More rain chances stretch into next week as well.Â
