DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - A person who was found dead after crews responded to a house fire in Decatur on Saturday has been identified.Â
The Decatur Fire Department was called to a fire just before 7:45 a.m. May 30 at 468 S. Boyd Street.Â
Heavy fire and smoke were seen from the home when they arrived. Firefighters worked to get the fire under control and searched the home to see if anyone was inside.Â
They found one person dead inside, later identified by the Macon County Coroner as 62-year-old Mary Daniels.Â
Her cause of death is unknown, and no other information is available.Â
The investigation is ongoing.Â
