Decatur restaurant to close location, shift focus to food truck

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - A popular BBQ restaurant will close its Decatur location, but still plans to retain a presence in the community.

Bobbie Lane's BBQ announced on Facebook Saturday that it will close its location on N. Franklin Street.

The post stated that the cost of operating the restaurant had "become too high" and the owners had "lost some of the passion" they felt made it special.

Instead of the restaurant, Bobbie Lane's will focus on its food truck and other aspects of its business, including catering and private and community events.

The food truck's permanent location is unknown at this time.

"To everyone who supported the restaurant, ate with us, worked with us, shared our posts, booked us, defended us, and helped us survive some very hard years — thank you. We truly mean that," the post said.
