(WAND WEATHER) - A prescribed burn and its associated smoke plume on the east side of Decatur is not only visible from miles away, but also thick and high enough to be seen on WAND doppler radar.
West-northwest winds will continue to slowly push the smoke plume, which is as high as 10,000', toward the east-southeast for the remainder of the day.
Winds will shift out of the southwest later this evening but will be below 5 mph after sunset.
