DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Three more days of intense heat and humidity and then we see a major weather change.
A "Heat Advisory" covers Central Illinois from noon until 8 p.m. Monday. This will likely be issued again for Tuesday as highs both days will reach the low-to-mid-90s. Once you add in the high humidity, it'll feel like 105°-115°.
Scattered showers and storms are possible today with isolated showers and storms late tonight. Tuesday will be mostly rain free.
More showers and storms are likely Wednesday into early Thursday as a strong cold front passes.
This will bring an end to the heat wave as highs only reach around 80° Thursday through the weekend. Overnight lows could drop into the 50s!
