DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Active weather is expected across Central Illinois this weekend with several rounds of storms.
Along with the severe weather threat, it'll be hot and humid.
A few thunderstorms were moving across Central Illinois this morning, but we're more concerned with severe weather and tornado-warned storms over Iowa dropping in later this morning and this afternoon.
These storms could bring damaging winds and large hail. A few isolated tornadoes can't be ruled out.
In addition to those threats, heavy rain is likely.
More strong to severe storms are in the forecast Sunday and by the middle and end of next week, we'll be under another heat wave.
