URBANA, Ill. (WAND) — The Champaign-Urbana Black Authors Book Fair is inviting the community to celebrate black voices, creativity and cultural heritage in November.
The fair's mission is to uplift and empower black authors, artists and families.
The event will feature a free lunch, professional headshots, a poetry workshop, and a kids corner with crafts, reading activities and a face painter.
The fair will also have live performances from singers, dancers and poets showcasing their talents.
The event will be held on Saturday, November 15 from 12-4 p.m. at the Independent Media Center in Urbana.
