SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — The owners of Cafe Moxo in Springfield said in a social media post they are "toasting to new beginnings" on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, with a post full of gratitude to their patrons.
According to the post, Cafe Moxo plans to open a new location by March 1, 2025.
The restaurant was forced to shut its doors earlier this year after a fire damaged multiple buildings on Adams Street in Springfield.
The new location is 2661 Chatham Rd, in the current location of Three Twigs.
In the social media post, owners Mark, Shawna, and Baker Foninash expressed their gratitude:
"Thank you for standing by us, believing in us, and making this new start even possible. We can’t wait to welcome you back with open arms, freshly made food, and heartfelt gratitude."
They added, "We want to send our well wishes to Three Twigs as they shift with their growing family. We want to thank our employees who hung in there with us and for continuing to serve our community."
