DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) -Â The City of Danville wants your opinion on the future of Garfield Park.
The City is hosting a public input session to talk about recreational enhancements.Â
The public session will take place on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Danville Aquatic Center at Garfield Park – 1112 Industrial in Danville.
To continue the Garfield Park Revitalization Project, the City of Danville is looking for funding for recreational improvements through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources Open Space Lands Acquisition & Development Grant Program.
The session will feature a discussion facilitated by the City of Danville and Farnsworth Group, who will provide an overview of the grant’s objectives and the City’s long-term vision for the park.
Attendees will be able to ask questions, provide feedback, and talk about the future of Garfield Park.
