DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - The Decatur Municipal Band will host a Family Concert in Central Park on Monday, June 16.Â
The concert will start at 7 p.m. and feature music from popular Disney films and TV shows.Â
Activities for children will start at 6 p.m., including storytelling by the Decatur Public Library's READiculous, a sing-along, and a costume contest.Â
During the concert, there will be a costume parade, character interactions, a photo booth, Disney trivia, and face painting. Food will be available for purchase.Â
The event is free and sponsored by grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Illinois Arts Council Agency, and the Decatur Area Arts Council.Â
The band, directed by Jim Culbertson, has been serving the community since 1857.
