SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - If you missed your prom this year or any year, then Downtown Springfield is the place to be this summer.
Downtown Springfield, Inc. (DSI) announced that Downtown Prom will take place Friday, July 17.
The event asks attendees to dress their best as they can dine out, enjoy music and decorations, and celebrate at participating downtown businesses.
"Our small business owners are an invaluable asset to our community, and they see a surge of locals during events like our festivals, parades, and celebrations. Let’s shower our favorite establishments with that same love this summer and enjoy an excuse to dress up," said DSI Executive DirectorJay Shanle in a press release.
