URBANA, Ill. (WAND) - Celebrate the literal ingestion of culture, all with a literary touch, at the 20th annual Champaign-Urbana Edible Book Festival.
The festival will take place at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 4, in the Common Ground Food Co-op at the Lincoln Square Mall in Urbana.Â
According to the University of Illinois Library, participants will create an "edible book" inspired by a book, include a pun on a famous title, or be shaped like a book or similar text.
While the entries cannot be eaten, Common Ground Co-op will provide cookies. Â
Award categories will include Best Visual Presentation, Best Depiction of a Classic, Funniest/Punniest, Most Appetizing, Best Entry Based on Book for Children or Teens, People's Choice and Best Collaborative Creation.Â
Anyone is allowed to participate.Â
