ARGENTA, Ill. (WAND) - Experience the marvels of the night sky at the upcoming 41st annual Astronomy Jamboree.Â
The event will be held from 8-11 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Friends Creek Conservation Area in Argenta.
Attendees can enjoy hot dogs, s'mores, a children's craft and giveaway prizes. Live music from Corn & Cotton will be on hand from 8-8:45 p.m.
Weather permitting, attendees should be able to view Saturn, Jupiter and closely examine the moon's surface.Â
Participants are also encouraged to bring their own telescopes. Â
The event is free, and those interested must register online by noon on Aug. 8.Â
