(WAND) — For over thirty years, WAND and Dove Inc have collected used and new coats for families in need. In total, the community has donated over 85,000 coats.

Longtime Coats for Kids volunteer Jerry Aldridge told WAND News "this community is outstanding."

"As we just saw with the food drive how the people came out and brought the food. It's the same thing with the coats," said Aldridge. "As I have said before, you'd be surprised how many new coats we get and what a thrill for a young child to put on a brand-new coat who's probably never had a coat before."

This year, you can drop off a gently used or new coat at any of the locations below beginning Monday, October 21 until Monday, November 25. Help make sure all of the children in our community are warm this season!
