MONTICELLO, Ill. (WAND) - The Monticello Freedom Festival returns next month, ready to kick off the Fourth of July with food, music and of course, fireworks. 

The event will begin at 5 p.m. Friday, July 3, at Monicello Middle School on Washington Street. 

According to the City, smoking and alcoholic drinks are not allowed on school grounds. 

Limited parking will be available at the school, with additional parking at Monticello United Methodist Church and Crossroads Church. 

The Monticello Music Boosters will provide a shuttle service that will operate from 5 p.m. until the event ends.
