MAHOMET, Ill. (WAND) — Hundreds of soda lovers gathered in Mahomet Saturday for the 6th annual Soda Fest.
The event transformed Main Street into a celebration of all things fizzy, with more than 100 soda flavors for people to try. The flavors included everything from classic flavors to unusual creations.
Visitors also got the chance to vote for their favorite soda.
"This is a great event because it's something that brings all sorts of families here. It's a family friendly event, so we have bounce houses for little kids and music, and the sodas are something that can be enjoyed by the entire family," Mahomet Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Lauren Hays said. "It's something that we're really excited about because we get to bring everybody together here in Mahomet and really showcase what the community is about."
Organizers said that Soda Fest continues to grow each year as a one-of-a-kind summer tradition.
