URBANA, Ill. (WAND) - Curbside and multifamily U-Cycle collection services will not happen the week of August 12 due to contractual obligations not met by the U-Cycle contractor.

Urbana's Scott Tess in the Public Works Department said that the city is waiting on an updated certificate of insurance from U-Cycle. Due to the overdue paperwork, the city is pausing services with U-Cycle indefinitely.

Tess said that the Public Works Department is doing everything they can to get service re-instated. "We're working every possible angle we can to get service restarted as soon as possible." said Tess.

Updates on U-Cycle service will be posted as they become available on the City of Urbana’s website, urbanaillinois.us, through the City’s social media accounts, and via phone at (217) 384-2302.
