CHAMPAIGN-URBANA, Ill. (WAND) - The University of Illinois homecoming week is underway.
The homecoming festivities started Sunday and run through Saturday. The week kicked off with the annual dying of the fountain and flying pancake breakfast.
The homecoming parade is on Friday, Sept. 13.
Organizers of homecoming said, while most people think of football when they think homecoming, there is more to the celebration, namely friends and family.
