Ring Of Fire Eclipse

EFFINGHAM, Ill. (WAND) - Watch parties are being hosted all across the City of Effingham for April 8th's total solar eclipse. 

On April 8, the moon will completely cover the sun, resulting in a total solar eclipse at 2:03 p.m. 

The partial eclipse starts at 12:46 p.m., reaches totality at 2:03 p.m., and the partial eclipse ends at 3:19 p.m. 

Events and viewing locations in Effingham include: 

  • Effingham Performance Center, 1325 Outer Belt West, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., $50 for 2 parking spaces (1 car and 1 viewing spot) 
  • Firefly Grill Eclipse Viewing Party, 1820 Ave. of Mid America, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., $100 per person
  • Gabby Goat's Ring of Fire Party, 303 E. Fayette Ave., 1 to 3 p.m., No cost to patrons 
  • TK Grille, 1301 Ave. of Mid America, 12 to 4 p.m., No cost to patrons
  • Tuscan Hills Winery, 2200 Historic Hills Dr., Starts at 11 a.m., No cost to patrons
  • The Cross at the Crossroads, 1900 Pike Ave., 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Free to the public
  • Village Wine's Eclipse Viewing Party, 109 S. Banker St., 12 to 4 p.m., $30 per person for rooftop access
