CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - The Champaign Fire Department was called out for a fire at an apartment building late Tuesday night.
CFD responded to the multi-family, three-story apartment building in the 2000 block of W John St. at 10:44 p.m.
Crews wee able to put out an exterior fire that was extending up the building from the first-floor balcony. They kept the fire contained primarily to the outside of the building.
No injuries were reported. One person was displaced due to the fire. The cause is still under investigation.
