(WAND) - About 137,000 Haier Top-Mount Refrigerators are being recalled due to a fire hazard.
The recall involves the Haier models HA10TG31 with 10.1 cubic foot capacity. The Haier logo is on the refrigerator door.
An electrical component in the refrigerator can short circuit.
People should unplug their refrigerators and stop using them.
Visit the Haier America's website to schedule a free in-home repair or to get a refund in the form of a $150 rebate toward the purchase of a qualified new Haier brand refrigerator.
The refrigerators were sold at Lowes stores nationwide and independent retailers from Sept. 2014 through Sept. 2018 for between $400 and $500.
