CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — A 16-year-old boy died after being shot early Saturday.Â
Officers responded to reports of gunfire just after midnight the 2000 block of Cynthia Drive. Police said, officers found the teen who had been shot. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
Investigators say, evidence at the scene indicates multiple shots were fired. Property damage was also reported in the area.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Police are looking for witnesses and surveillance footage from nearby residents and businesses.
