Illinois scored 15 unanswered points as part of a 22-3 run to jump out to a commanding 27-8 lead.
The team was led by Kylan Boswell who scored a game-high 17 points, making it his fifth straight game scoring double digits.
And in his second career start Chicago native Morez Johnson Jr. scored 15 point, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks against the Wildcats.
