DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - Two people have been arrested for armed violence, gun charges, and drug charges in Danville.Â
On August 27 at 8:36 a.m., Danville police were called to the intersection of Jackson St. and Cherry St. for the report of one shot fired.Â
Clayvonte Sloan of Danville was identified as a suspect. Sloan was stopped leaving the area in a vehicle while patrol officers were arriving.
Police got a warrant for a residence in the 400 block of N. Jackson Street, where contact was made with the resident, Talicia Duckworth of Danville.
During the search, members located two firearms, suspected cannabis, suspected methamphetamine, suspected cocaine, and US currency.
Sloan and Duckworth were arrested and booked on several charges, including Armed Violence, Unlawful Possession of Firearms, Possession of Cannabis 500-2000 Grams, Delivery of Cannabis 500-2000 grams, and Methamphetamine Possession 5-15 grams. In addition to the above charges, Sloan was also booked for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm.
